In the
Second International Archaeological Research Season at
Policastro
1st April- 27th May 2012,
The Association Etruria Nova, in collaboration with
the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage in
The season will to include:
1. Continuation
of excavation in the area of a roman villa;
2. Surface
survey: detection and census of artifacts and ecofacts;
3. Workshops:
first handling of the archaeological findings and computerization of the data;
4. Bio-archaeology
workshop: treatment of the organic
findings and animal bones gathered during
the excavation.
Participation fees:
1 week - 120 Euro
2 weeks - 240 Euro
3 weeks -
350 Euro
Etruria Nova card
(annual membership is obligatory):
25 Euro (ordinary membership)
Price includes:
•Accommodation in apartments with 4 or 5 beds, kitchen
and bathroom with shower. Single occupancy may be possible,
on payment of a surcharge, dependent on availability.
•Provision for breakfasts, packed lunches and dinners are made
in their apartments by participants, comprising fresh and tinned
foods, provided by the organization.
•Transfer by car/minibus between the accommodation
and Policastro railway station at fixed hours; transport to the
excavation sites and on excursions.
•Insurance cover for the duration of the campaign, included
in subscription to the Etruria Nova Association.
•Certificate on successful completion.
NOT included:
• Tickets for entrance to museums and archaeological
sites on excursions.
• Any further services not specifically included
above.
